IRON
The IRON filters contain a special catalytic material
that, by utilizing dissolved oxygen in the water, promotes
the oxidation and thus the removal of dissolved iron and
manganese from the water.
Iron is generally present in the form of soluble ferrous
bicarbonate, which makes mechanical filtration
insufficient.
BIRM
Birm is a filter material composed of manganese oxide granules used for the removal of iron and manganese dissolved in water, acts as a catalyst, accelerating the reaction between oxygen dissolved in water and iron/manganese present.
